103 bánh pía ghép thành bản đồ Việt Nam tại Lễ hội bánh dân gian Nam Bộ 2026

Ngày 6-3, thông tin từ UBND thành phố Cần Thơ cho biết Phó chủ tịch UBND thành phố Cần Thơ Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Điệp vừa ký ban hành kế hoạch tổ chức giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương và Lễ hội bánh dân gian Nam Bộ lần thứ XIII năm 2026.
Theo đó, Lễ hội bánh dân gian Nam Bộ năm 2026 sẽ diễn ra trong 6 ngày (từ ngày 26-4 đến 1-5-2026) tại quảng trường phường Bình Thủy và khu vực lân cận.
Về quy mô, sẽ có từ 200 - 250 gian hàng bánh dân gian, ẩm thực, sản phẩm OCOP, đặc sản vùng miền, trái cây vùng miền và sản phẩm du lịch. Trong đó dự kiến bố trí khoảng 50 gian hàng hỗ trợ dành cho khách mời là các đối tác, tổ chức quốc tế, cơ quan ngoại giao, lãnh sự quán, doanh nghiệp nước ngoài, các tỉnh, thành phố, các sơ sở, nghệ nhân làm bánh dân gian tham gia bảo tồn các loại bánh và dự thi.
Về hoạt động của lễ hội, sẽ có không gian bảo tồn bánh dân gian Nam Bộ với điểm nhấn là trưng bày tạo hình nghệ thuật bản đồ Việt Nam từ 103 bánh pía truyền thống đại diện cho 103 xã, phường của thành phố Cần Thơ.
Mô hình được thực hiện với quy mô lớn trong không gian trang trí mang họa tiết sông nước, miệt vườn Nam Bộ, biểu trưng cho sự gắn kết cộng đồng, sự hội tụ tinh hoa bánh dân gian Nam Bộ và tinh thần hướng về cội nguồn dân tộc.
Trong không gian này còn có các hoạt động khác như tái hiện hoạt cảnh thực hành di sản văn hóa phi vật thể quốc gia làng bánh tráng Thuận Hưng (nghệ nhân làm và phơi bánh tráng); trình diễn hướng dẫn cách làm một số loại bánh dân gian Nam Bộ như bánh tráng Mỹ Lồng, bánh phồng Sơn Đốc; trưng bày hình ảnh theo chủ đề bánh dân gian, nguyên vật liệu, công cụ, dụng cụ làm bánh truyền thống.
Ngoài ra trong khuôn khổ lễ hội còn có các chương trình khác như tổ chức các hoạt động vui chơi giải trí truyền thống, trò chơi dân gian phục vụ nhân dân và du khách tham quan, trải nghiệm; chương trình nghệ thuật và biểu diễn thời trang; biểu diễn nhạc acoustic dường phố và nghệ thuật truyền thống…
Trong kế hoạch, UBND thành phố Cần Thơ cũng đề nghị Bộ Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch ban hành văn bản chỉ đạo các sở văn hóa, thể thao và du lịch, sở du lịch các tỉnh, thành phố tham gia các hoạt động trong khuôn khổ Lễ hội bánh dân gian Nam Bộ, và tổ chức các hoạt động hưởng ứng tại địa phương.

On March 6th, information from the People's Committee of Can Tho City indicated that the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, had signed and issued a plan to organize the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the 13th Southern Vietnam Traditional Cake Festival in 2026.
Accordingly, the 2026 Southern Vietnam Traditional Cake Festival will take place over 6 days (from April 26th to May 1st, 2026) at the square in Binh Thuy ward and surrounding areas.
In terms of scale, there will be 200-250 stalls selling traditional cakes, food, OCOP products, regional specialties, regional fruits, and tourism products. The event is expected to include approximately 50 booths to support guests, including international partners and organizations, diplomatic agencies, consulates, foreign businesses, provinces and cities, establishments, and artisans participating in the preservation of traditional cakes and the competition.
Regarding the festival's activities, there will be a space dedicated to preserving Southern Vietnamese traditional cakes, with a highlight being the display of an artistic map of Vietnam created from 103 traditional mooncakes representing the 103 communes and wards of Can Tho city.
The model will be implemented on a large scale in a space decorated with motifs of rivers, waterways, and the Southern Vietnamese countryside, symbolizing community cohesion, the convergence of the essence of Southern Vietnamese traditional cakes, and the spirit of returning to national roots.
This space will also feature other activities such as reenactments of the national intangible cultural heritage of Thuan Hung rice paper village (artisans making and drying rice paper); The festival includes demonstrations on how to make several types of traditional Southern Vietnamese cakes such as My Long rice paper and Son Doc puffed rice cakes; and displays of images themed around traditional cakes, ingredients, tools, and equipment used in traditional cake making.
In addition, the festival will also feature other programs such as traditional entertainment activities, folk games for the public and tourists to enjoy; art and fashion shows; street acoustic music performances and traditional art performances…
In its plan, the People's Committee of Can Tho City also requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to issue a directive to the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Departments of Tourism of provinces and cities to participate in activities within the framework of the Southern Vietnamese Traditional Cake Festival, and to organize related activities in their localities.
